Topps Sterling baseball cards are high end premium cards that feature all-time great major league players mixed in with some of today's hottest stars. There are several types of insert cards that draw collectors to the Topps Sterling line of cards including mystery and theme packs, cut signature/auto cards, relic cards and more.
Each box of Topps Sterling cards contains two packs and usually has a retail price of $200+ per box. The boxes are nicely crafted wooden boxes and the two packs consist of a regular pack and a mystery pack. The regular pack contained four cards of one player in the sets up to 2008. The 2009 set has replaced the single player packs with theme packs. The mystery packs contain either a limited edition framed parallel card or a one of one jumbo swatch card.
